Share
🛒 What you'll need (Makes ~12 poppers):
- 6 large fresh jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 3–4 tbsp Janet’s Finest Cranberry Jalapeño or Blueberry Jalapeño Compote
- 6 strips bacon, halved (optional)
- Chopped chives or green onions for garnish (optional)
🍳 Instructions:
- Prep the Jalapeños: Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves if you’re spice-sensitive).
- Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt & pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Add the Magic: Spoon about 1/2 tsp of Janet’s Finest Compote into the bottom of each jalapeño half, then fill with the cheese mixture, pressing gently so the compote swirls through.
- (Optional) Wrap with Bacon: Wrap each popper with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
- Bake It Up: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the filling is bubbly.
- Serve & Savor: Let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions if you like a little color pop.
