Ultimate Post-Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich

šŸ›’ What you'll need (Makes 2 sandwiches):

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (or garlic aioli)
  • 4–6 oz roasted turkey breast (sliced, warm or cold)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon (optional, but highly recommended)
  • 2 slices sharp white cheddar or brie
  • 1/2 cup arugula or baby spinach
  • 4 tbsp Janet’s Finest Cranberry JalapeƱo Compote
  • Butter (for toasting bread, optional)

šŸ³ Instructions:

  • Toast the Bread
    Lightly butter the sourdough slices and toast them in a skillet or sandwich press until golden and crisp on the outside but still soft inside.
  • Layer the Good Stuff - on the bottom slice:
    • Spread 1 tbsp mayo
    • Spread a thin layer of dressing (stuffing)
    • Add a layer of turkey
    • Top with cheddar or brie
    • Lay on the bacon (if using)
    • Spoon on 2 tbsp of Janet’s Finest Cranberry JalapeƱo Compote
    • Add a small handful of arugula or baby spinach
  • Crown It
    • Spread the top slice with a little more mayo or compote, and place it on top.
  • Press & Warm (optional)
    For a melty version, grill the whole sandwich panini-style or in a skillet with a weight on top until the cheese melts and everything melds together.
  • Serve
    Slice in half and enjoy with chips, pickles, or a leftover side.
